JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo has ended speculation about his future by confirming that he will remain at Al Nassr.
Ronaldo's contract with the Saudi Arabian Pro League club expires on June 30, 2025.
The Portugal captain said he had been approached by clubs participating in the 2025 Club World Cup.
However, after winning the UEFA Nations League trophy with Portugal on Sunday, June 8, 2025, he clarified his future.
"The future? Nothing will change. Al Nassr? Yes," he said briefly as reported by ESPN.
Al Nassr Sports Director Fernando Hierro said last month that they were negotiating with Ronaldo over a contract extension.

However, they face competition to defend the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's services.
Reports claim that the 40-year-old has received lucrative offers from unnamed Brazilian clubs. Meanwhile, he is also reportedly the target of rival Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, Al Hilal.
Ronaldo even hinted last month that he could leave the club after Al Nassr's season-ending game at Al Fateh.
"This chapter is over. The story? Still written," Ronaldo wrote on his social media.
Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr in December 2022 after leaving Manchester United, ended his second consecutive season as the top scorer in the Saudi Arabian Pro League.
He scored 25 league goals this season, but Al Nassr ended in third place in the standings which were disappointing and failed to get a place in the Champions League AFC next season.
Despite scoring 99 goals in 105 games for Al Nassr, Ronaldo has lost the main trophy, only winning the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023 since his arrival.
However, he managed to lift his third title with Portugal. Ronaldo scored his 138th international goal to help Portugal beat Spain 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in the UEFA Nations League final.
The former Real Madrid star previously captained Portugal at Euro 2016 and UEFA Nations League 2019.
"Winning for Portugal is always special. I have a lot of titles with the club, but nothing is better than winning for Portugal."
"It was tears. It was a task to do and a lot of joy," said Ronaldo.
