Police Use 3D Laser Scanning Method To Reveal The Cause Of The TransJakarta Accident

JAKARTA - The police used the 3D Laser Scanning method to uncover the cause of the TransJakarta bus accident at MT Haryono, East Jakarta. With this method, a complete simulation of the chronology of events will be drawn.

"We did a reconstruction simulation using the 3D laser scanning method, so we made a visual of the incident using the Korlantas tool, one of the methods to help investigators find out the cause of the accident," said Head of Sub-Directorate of Gakkum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Argo Wiyono to reporters, Tuesday, October 26.

This method was already used in the reconstruction this morning. However, Argo has not been able to convey the results of the reconstruction of the accident.

"It was (done) at 09.00 WIB," said Argo.

To reveal the cause of the accident, his party will also examine witnesses. One that is likely to be investigated is PT TransJakarta.

"What anyone needs is currently running, we will make sure that in the future if necessary, a call is related to seeing the driver how when he gets out, of course, if needed, we will make a call," said Argo.

The accident of two TransJakarta buses occurred on Monday, October 25, early in the morning. As a result of the accident 39 people became victims. Where, two of them died. The remaining 37 suffered minor and serious injuries.

The accident began when a Transjakarta bus was stopped to drop off passengers at the Cawang Ciliwung Bus Stop. Suddenly, a bus from behind hit a bus that was stopped at a bus stop.
