JAKARTA – Despite being a victim of persecution by the Nunukan Police Chief, AKBP Syaiful Anwar, Brigadier SL apologized for spreading the video of the beatings on social media. An apology was conveyed through the media.

Through social media Brigadier SL conveyed his apologies. He admitted that he did not think clearly when distributing videos showing the beating and kicking of him by the Nunukan Police Chief.

"Good evening, commanders, seniors and colleagues, especially the Head of the Nunukan Police, AKBP Syaiful Anwar, I apologize for the video circulating on social media. Because when I uploaded the video, I didn't think clearly," said Brigadier SL in an apology video that also included viral on social media.

Brigadier SL, also admitted that he was very sorry for his actions. He also confirmed that he had been negligent and did not carry out the leadership's orders.

"I went to the police chief to resolve the issue amicably. And this apology does not contain any elements of coercion from anyone," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the North Kalimantan Police (Kaltara) Kombes Pol Budi Rachmat confirmed the news that Brigadier SL apologized.

As SL acknowledged in the video, Budi said that the apology was without any pressure from any party, and was the initiative of Brigadier SL.

"Yes, indeed there is an apology, it was from the person concerned himself who conveyed it," explained Budi Rachmat when confirmed, Tuesday, October 26.

Budi again explained that the SL Brigadier and the Nunukan Police Chief AKBP Syaiful Anwar were still undergoing the examination process at Bidpropam.

"Both of them were examined. Including the SL Brigadier who will be examined whether there is a violation of the code of ethics or not," explained Budi Rachmat.
