One Positive COVID-19, All Members Of The DKI DPRD Will Have A Swab Test

JAKARTA - DKI DPRD Chairman Prasetio Edi Marsudi said that all members of the DKI DPRD are scheduled to undergo a swab test to test COVID-19 specimens. This is in the aftermath of one DPRD Member who was confirmed positive for COVID-19.

Prasetio said that the scheduling of the COVID-19 examination of the Kebon Sirih parliament members was being drafted by the DPRD Secretariat. Later, they will undergo examination of each party faction.

"Later, each faction will take a swab test, including myself. Because, lately there have been many activities in the (DPRD) office," Prasetio said when contacted, Tuesday, July 28.

Prasetio said, apart from council members, there are also DPRD secretariat staff and other individual service providers (PJLP) who are infected with COVID-19. "They are now being isolated in the hospital," he said.

Even so, Prasetio did not mention who the Kebon Sirih parliament member was confirmed positive for COVID-19. Prasetio said they underwent the swab test independently and the results were positive.

"Looks like he was exposed outside. They meet a lot of people too," said Prasetio.

As a result of this case, the DPRD Building was temporarily closed for five days, starting from Wednesday, July 29 to Sunday, August 2.

The work activities and activities of the DKI DPRD will resume on Monday, August 3, 2020. Meanwhile, activities that have been scheduled will be rescheduled through a DPRD DKI Deliberative Council meeting.

While it was closed, Prasetio said that the DPRD Building would be sprayed with disinfectants. This is in order to break the chain of spreading COVID-19.

"The office is temporarily closed until Monday. I want to spray disinfectant," said Prasetio.
