Teenage Orphans In Banyuwangi Repeatedly Abused By Neighbors, Perpetrators Are Now Fugitives

BANYUWANGI - The unfortunate fate of an 11-year-old orphan girl in Banyuwangi, East Java. The victim was molested by his neighbors almost every night from April to June 2021.

The perpetrator who molested his neighbor had the initials LAR, a resident of Sarongan Village, Pesanggaran, Banyuwangi. LAR is now a fugitive.

The Head of Pesanggaran Police, AKP Subandi, confirmed the molestation case of the poor teenager. LM is an orphan who has recently been abandoned by his parents. Since then, the victim has been living in LAR's house.

However, instead of receiving good treatment, the innocence of the victim was exploited by LAR.

"From the testimony of victims of sexual intercourse almost every day. Starting from April to June 2021," said AKP Subandi, Monday, October 25.

This incident was revealed after the victim confided to one of his friends. Not long after that the story reached the ears of one of the residents who then reported it to the Pesanggaran Police.

"After the post-mortem, it turned out that there was a wound on the victim's genitals," he said.

The police then moved quickly to try to catch the perpetrators. However, when the arrest was made, the condition of the perpetrator's house was empty.

LAR fled with his two children and one stepdaughter. Meanwhile, the perpetrator's wife is working abroad.

"We are still looking for the perpetrator, we are gathering information on his whereabouts. The police only confiscated some evidence, such as the victim's clothes," he said.

This obscenity is not the first time that the LAR has done this. Previously LAR had been detained with the same case.

"LAR is a recidivist of the same case," said AKP Subandi.

Perpetrators who are still being hunted will be charged with Article 76 D in conjunction with Article 81 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 81 paragraph 2 or Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection.
