PKB Insists It Wants To Carry Muhaimin Iskandar To Become A Presidential Candidate In 2024

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) is determined to nominate its general chairman Muhaimin Iskandar as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

In order to make this happen, PKB Deputy Chairperson Jazilul Fawaid asked all PKB cadres to continue praying for Muhaimin to be able to carry out his duties as party chairman and deputy chairman of the DPR. PKB was also asked to play a role in the success of the Joko Widodo-KH Ma'ruf Amin administration.

"In the 2024 election, we are targeting a victory for the executive and legislature. Later, in 2024, the national leadership will be continued by PKB cadres," Jazilul told reporters, Sunday, October 24.

Jazilul is optimistic that PKB can win 100 seats in the DPR in the upcoming 2024 election. The condition, he said, is that the cadres must work hard and optimize the remaining two years to consolidate their winnings.

"All cadres can optimize the remaining two years to continue to work hard to consolidate winnings and prepare themselves well for the 2024 election," Jazilul said.

The reason, continued the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR, is that the party that has a presidential candidate will have an impact so that it will increase the party's vote acquisition.

"For the sake of the greatness of the PKB and the interests of the people, we must advance PKB cadres as candidates for president," said Jazilul.

Jazilul is grateful, the recent survey results show that the electability level of PKB is getting better.

"The results of the SMRC survey, PKB is in third place, shifting the position of the Gerindra Party, hopefully soon it can overtake Golkar," he said.

In addition, the man who is familiarly called Gus Jazil said that PKB was founded by NU scholars. Where, he said, all of the founders only had a fighting spirit and had no material interests to enrich themselves.

PKB, he claims, sincerely provides the best service to the people.

"Recruit the best candidates, go directly to serve the people because this nation is in a slump. I believe the solidarity of friends will ease the situation of the people," concluded Jazilul.
