Police Deploy A Team To Investigate Robbery At A Gas Entrepreneur's House In Padang That Killed One Person

PADANG - The Kuranji Police Sector, Padang, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) dispatched a team to investigate a suspected robbery case that shocked residents on Sunday morning.

In the robbery Saturday night, October 23, one of the homeowners, Nelti (58) was killed by a sharp object stabbed by one of the perpetrators.

"Members have been dispatched to carry out investigations and collect the necessary evidence," said Kuranji Police Chief AKP Sutrisman, quoted by Antara, Sunday, October 24.

Police have also examined a number of witnesses at the scene, and taken the victim to the hospital.

The police suspect that the motive in the case that occurred in a house on Jalan Kelok, Belimbing, Kuranji District, Padang was robbery.

Because a number of the victim's belongings were brought by the perpetrators, namely a Honda Mobilio car, an ATM card, four smartphone units, and CCTV devices.

However, this is only an initial assumption given that the investigation into the case is still ongoing.

Sutrisman revealed that from the statements of the witnesses, it was revealed that three perpetrators entered the victim's house.

The robber entered on Saturday, October 23 at around 21.00 WIB wearing a face covering, and carrying a sharp weapon.

The perpetrators then arrested five occupants of the house, including the owner of the house, namely Yuni Nelti (59) and Kusbiantara (58).

Victim Nelti was stabbed by the perpetrator using a sharp weapon because she was trying to ask for help by screaming. The victim was declared dead as a result of the stab wound.

Meanwhile, Kusdiantara's husband (60), who is known to have a gas business background, also fought back until he broke his hand.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Padang Police, Kompol Rico Fernanda, said that his party had deployed all members of the Satreskrim to the field to conduct an investigation.

"In investigating this case, a team from the Padang Police Satreskrim will coordinate with the Kuranji Police," he said.
