JokPro Volunteers Are Sure The 1945 Constitution Amendment Will Happen

JAKARTA - Volunteers Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Prabowo Subianto (JokPro) DKI Jakarta, believe that the amendment to the 1945 Constitution will take place. The reason is that this amendment is only waiting for the approval of the DPR factions.

Jokpro volunteers had previously declared themselves to support the two big figures as presidential candidates (candidates) and vice presidential candidates (cawapres) in the 2024 Presidential Election. JokPro pushed for the amendment of the 1945 Constitution as an entry point for Jokowi to lead in the third term.

“Our first agenda is amendments. The amendments are the MPR's territory, but first, the DPD has agreed with the amendments. Second, the DPR already wants amendments, for example, like the PDIP. If others want it, an amendment will take place,” said the initiator of Joc-Pro Volunteers, M. Qodari, Sunday, October 24.

Qodari revealed that the agenda for the PDIP in the amendment was the Main Principles of State Policy (PPHN) and the DPD RI was strengthening the DPD. But according to him, the amendment will also see the aspirations of the people.

If people's aspirations strengthen regarding Jokowi's three-term proposal, he said, a change in the president's term of office could occur.

“My language is titi mongso, the time will meet or the time will come. Now, JokPro encourages community support for three periods to be large and become the majority. If that happens, there will be titi mongso. The community wants it, the political elite will also want and move,” said the Executive Director of IndoBarometer.

Qodari also explained that there are two aspects that allow Jokowi to return to office in the third term. First amendment. Second, Jokowi is paired with Prabowo.

"This is a package, because if the amendment can happen automatically Jokowi-Prabowo will also happen, because the amendment needs the support of big powers," he explained.

He also explained the reason for the Jokowi-Prabowo duet. First, so far the representation of people's aspirations has been aimed at Jokowi and Prabowo, not other figures.
