PPSU DKI Families Who Died Received Compensation Of IDR 454 Million

JAKARTA - The family of the DKI Jakarta public infrastructure and facilities handling officer (PPSU) who died recently received work accident compensation of IDR 454 million. This compensation is given by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan through the DKI Provincial Government.

The PPSU officers who died were Taka and Jamaludin. Taka died from a hit and run while working to clean Jalan Yos Sudarso. Meanwhile, Jamaludin died as a result of being run over by a truck on Jalan Raya Bambu Apus. Both of them leave their wives and children who are still in school.

"With the handover of this guarantee, God willing, all mothers and children will be able to live a more peaceful life," said DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Monday, July 27.

In detail, there is a guarantee benefit amounting to Rp227,265,800 to each PPSU family consisting of compensation for death due to work accidents amounting to 48 times the reported wages, funeral expenses, and periodic compensation.

Then, the heirs of PPSU Jamaludin received a scholarship for his child with a total of IDR 75 million and the heir of PPSU Taka received a scholarship for two children for a total of IDR 111 million.

"God willing, the children will also have their education guaranteed. From our point of view, KJP and others keep going, no one will stop, because surely the children of PPSU officers are guaranteed in their KJP. So, God willing, the education will be complete. BPJamsostek also has guarantees for education, "said Anies.

Continuing, the Managing Director of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (BPJamsostek) Agus Susanto said the incident experienced by Taka and Jamaludin was part of a work accident. Therefore, the compensation provided is a benefit from the work accident insurance program.

"Hopefully the compensation received can alleviate the grief experienced by the family and we hope that this incident does not lead to economic difficulties for the families who are left behind," said Agus.

As previously reported, Taka, a PPSU Persada Kelapa Gading, was the victim of a hit and run by a vehicle driver on Jalan Yos Sudarso, North Jakarta on Thursday, July 23. Taka was taken to the Jakarta Islamic Hospital for help.

Unfortunately, around 07.30 WIB, Taka's life could not be saved. As a result of this grief incident, two of Taka's children who are still under five years old are now orphans.

Then, Jamaluddin died as a result of being run over by a truck on his way home from work on Jalan Raya Bambu Apus, Cipayung, East Jakarta, Friday, July 24 afternoon.

The chronology of the incident began with Jamaludin coming home from work riding a motorcycle through Jalan Bambu Apus Raya, Bambu Apus Village, Cipayung District. At that time the victim was in a truck.

At around 15:15 WIB, Jamaludin overtook the truck on a fast lane on the straight road. At the same time another vehicle appeared from the opposite direction.

Jamaludin was unable to escape so he lost his balance and failed to overtake the truck. He fell to the left and got under the truck and was crushed right in the head.
