199 Public Entertainment Recreation Areas In Surabaya Allowed To Operate, Manager Signs Integrity Pact

SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Government (Pemkot) has allowed General Entertainment Recreation (RHU) to operate again with strict health protocols (prokes).

A total of 199 owners, managers, and persons in charge of RHU have each received an assessment and signed an Integrity Pact at the BPB Linmas office in Surabaya, Friday, October 22.

Head of the Prevention and Preparedness Division of BPB Linmas Surabaya, Hendry Simanjuntak said, in the integrity pact, there are several regulations that must be obeyed by the owner, manager and person in charge of RHU.

One of them is to comply with the operating hours that have been set in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations.

"For those that open in the afternoon, such as spas and so on, the maximum closing is at 22.00 WIB. If those open are from the evening, the operating hours are from 18.00 to 00.00 WIB," said Hendry.

In addition, continued Hendry, in the new rules there are several additional points. Namely the provision of a barcode for the PeduliLindung application. In addition, every RHU visitor must have been vaccinated, and the RHU owner is also required to record the identity listed on the visitor's ID card.

"The purpose of this recording is to make it easier for the COVID-19 Task Force to carry out tracing," he said.

Meanwhile, the allowed RHU capacity is a maximum of 75 percent and must carry out the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as set by the Surabaya City Government.

What also needs to be observed by the owner of the RHU is the mayor's rules regarding prokes violations. If it is found that RHU violates the prokes, it will be closed for a minimum of four months.

"This means that there is a COVID-19 Task Force that controls the health protocol, if it violates it will be immediately closed, in accordance with Mayor Regulation Number 67 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Health Protocols in Preventing and Breaking the Chain of Spread of COVID-19 in the City of Surabaya as last amended by Regulation Mayor Number 10 of 2021," he said.

Hendry added that after the signing of the integrity pact, the owner, manager and person in charge of RHU was allowed to reopen their business premises at any time.

"For those who have been assessed, in the integrity pact column there is a statement when they want to start opening (the RHU). Today you can, tomorrow you can, or in a week you can," he concluded.
