JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Health targets the regulation of digital medical records to be completed in 2021. This digital medical record as a legal umbrella, integrates digital and conventional medical services.
"Our target this year is to issue an electronic medical record (e-mr) regulation," said the Head of the Indonesian Ministry of Health's Digital Transformation Office, Setiaji at the National Doctor's Day Special HaloTalks event which was followed by the Zoom application in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, October 22.
He said the COVID-19 pandemic has encouraged innovation in various fields, including digital-based health services. "All medical records are recorded digitally. Health data is integrated from various applications, so everyone has a personal health record," he said.
He said medical records are not only owned by conventional health care facilities, but each individual also stores their medical records in digital form.
"Everything must be connected to all health care facilities," he said.
Setiaji said the Ministry of Health has confirmed telemedicine services into the digital transformation roadmap in the health sector until 2024 as an effort to provide equitable and inclusive services.
"It includes the role of telemedicine in helping to realize equitable and inclusive health services," he said.
In the next few years, he said, people are expected to be able to access digital health services, starting from the womb to facing critical conditions, where all medical records will be integrated into one system.
