PDIP Is Afraid That Anies Will Not Focus On His Work After Volunteers Declaring Support To The 2024 Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD Gembong Warsono responded to the issue of the Prosperous Indonesia National Alliance declaring Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in the 2024 election.

There is one thing that worries Gembong. He was afraid that after being declared a presidential candidate by volunteers, Anies would not focus on carrying out his duties as Governor of DKI Jakarta and instead prepared his candidacy for the presidential election.

"What we are worried about is because finally when it was declared, they finally focused on raising and imaging him (Anies) to advance to 2024," said Gembong when contacted, Thursday, October 21.

However, Gembong admitted that he had no problem with the appearance of the declaration. However, what is certain is that Anies will not forget to complete his duties until 2022.

"That's a political right that Mr. Anies has, right. There is no problem, the most important thing is that after he was declared a presidential candidate, Mr. Anies did not forget his duty as governor to fulfill the promises he had made to the people," he said.

Moreover, according to Gembong, there are still many campaign promises that Anies has not fulfilled, such as the target of building a Rp0 DP house and the OK OCE program, which is currently discontinued.

"Has it worked? Well, we'll see what happens. Those who managed to get the awards were awards for running programs that were sustainable, not purely from Mr. Anies' sweat," he explained.

As is known, the Volunteers of the Prosperous Indonesia National Alliance (ANIES) declared the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate (candidate) 2024-2029 in the 2024-2024 presidential and vice presidential election democratic party due to a number of achievements in leading the capital city.

ANIES Coordinator La Ode Basir assessed that the reflection of Anies' success in the welfare of the citizens of Jakarta, both from the aspect of education, health to the many developments, made the former Minister of Education and Culture worthy of being projected as a presidential candidate for 2024-2029.

"We then formed a community that we call ANIES to fully support Mr. Anies Rasyid Baswedan running as President 2024-2029," said La Ode at the Anies Baswedan Declaration for President 2024 in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 20.

However, La Ode said they made this declaration without any prior communication with Anies.

"We didn't tell him ourselves. Our interest is to see that he has achievements and it's our job to share this achievement so that it doesn't belong to the citizens of DKI but to all Indonesians," he concluded.
