PAPUA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin visited SD Negeri Inpres VIM 1 Kotaraja, Abepura, Jayapura City, Saturday, October 16 today to meet and greet students at the school.

In a statement from the Press, Media and Information Bureau of the Vice President's Secretariat (BPMI Setwapres), Vice President Ma'ruf had a brief dialogue with students, school representatives and local residents in the elementary school yard.

The vice president also asked about the completeness of school equipment needed at the school.

On that occasion, the Vice President said that the government is serious about advancing education in Papua, especially improving the quality of human resources (HR).

"The government is building human resources through education in schools so that they can compete nationally and internationally," said the Vice President in Abepura, Antara, Saturday afternoon.

The 10-minute meeting ended with the Vice President's hope for students to continue learning to advance the Land of Papua.

"Papua has many talents. But you also have to learn successfully, right," the Vice President said.

Meanwhile, a student named Amsal was happy because his school was visited by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. When the vice president asked him what he wanted to be, Amsal said he wanted to become a soccer player.

"I want to be a great football player! I'm glad you could come here," said Proverbs.

In closing the visit, Vice President Ma'ruf encouraged the students and the community to make Papua better and more advanced.

"You can do it! If you can, I can do even better," said the Vice President.

Vice President Ma'ruf's next agenda in Papua is to lead a coordination meeting with the Papuan Provincial Government regarding the acceleration of development and the resolution of extreme poverty.
