JAKARTA - Carrying out the instructions of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo for the attention of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in eradicating illegal online loans (pinjol), the Ditreskrimsus Polda of West Java together with the Ditreskrimsus Polda DIJ raided shophouses on Professor Herman Yohanes Street, Samirono, Caturtunggal, Depok Sleman .

According to information, the raid on the shophouse where debt collectors work took place on Thursday night, October 14.

In writing, as many as 86 people were arrested by officers. They consist of 83 operators who also act as debt collectors. There are also 2 HRD and a manager.

"Three days ago we received a report from the victim with the initials TM, who is currently being treated in hospital due to depression due to the inhumane actions of illegal loan collectors," explained the Director of Criminal Investigation at the West Java Police, Kombespol Arif Rahman, Thursday night, October 14.

Based on the results of the investigation, police officers detected the suspect in Jogjakarta. Immediately, the Ditreskrimsus Team of the West Java Police immediately coordinated with the DIJ Police.

The police seized 2 cars. Meanwhile, at the location of the raid, there were dozens of motorbikes suspected of belonging to employees, or online debt collectors. Not only that, as many as 105 computers and cellphones were also brought as evidence.

"The results of the investigation show that the perpetrators came from the location where we carried out the raid," he said.

Arif also said that the results of the investigation revealed that there was a debt collector operator who matched the victim's statement. The characteristics are in accordance with the alleged perpetrator who carried out the terror against the victim.

“There is one debt collector operator based on mix and match digital evidence that is very relevant to the victim. We will investigate the perpetrators," he said.
