Hotter, Iran Threatens US And Israel With Deadly Attack

JAKARTA - Since Israel's last attack on Iran on October 26, the situation in the Middle East has escalated.

Iran's supreme leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei on Saturday threatened the United States and Israel with "terrible retaliation" for any of their actions against Iran.

"The enemies, both Zionist entities (Israel) and the United States, must know that they will face devastating retaliation for their actions against Iran, its people, and the resistance groups that support it," Khamenei said in a speech in Tehran., reported by ANTARA, Saturday, November 2nd.

"We will do everything military, weapons, and political action against arrogance," he said.

On October 26, the Israeli military said it had attacked Iran for four hours, but Iran claimed to have thwarted the attack even though four of its troops were killed.

The Israeli attack was in retaliation for Iran's action to launch 180 rockets into Israel on October 1.

Tehran said the October 1 attack was retaliation for the death of chief political bureau Hamas Ismail Haniyeh, leader Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah, and Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander Abbas Nilforoushan.
