5.8 M Earthquake Shakes Manado, Hotel Visitors Scatter To Escape

JAKARTA - At night, an earthquake rocked Manado. Strength is quite large, 5.8 M.

Reporting from BMKG, Thursday, October 14, this earthquake occurred precisely at 22.16 WIB. The epicenter of the earthquake was at sea 119 km southeast of Bitung.

The epicenter of the earthquake depth was 10 Km. Several areas in North Sulawesi felt the tremors from this earthquake.

In the MMI category, the strength of the earthquake was felt in III Manado, III Bitung, III East Bolaang Mongondow, III South Bolaang Mongondow, II-III Minahasa, II-III North Minahasa.

There have been no reports of building damage.
