Residents Of South Kalimantan Registered As Many As 5,000 Prospective Hajj Pilgrims, The Regional Ministry Of Religion Asks For Vaccine Letters To Be Protected

KALSEL - Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Muhammad Tambrin said as many as 5,000 residents in South Kalimantan were registered as prospective pilgrims.

His party has held a meeting with the Head of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Health Service, HM Muslim, to discuss various steps that must be prepared if the implementation of the Umrah pilgrimage is actually opened by Saudi Arabia.

Several things were conveyed and had to be prepared by the prospective congregation, including the implementation of vaccinations.

"If the Umrah trip is indeed opened, the government will fight for residents who have carried out vaccinations twice," he said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, October 14.

Residents or prospective Umrah pilgrims who have been fully vaccinated are asked to keep their vaccine documents properly and have been registered online. For those who have not, you should immediately get vaccinated.

Thambrin also asked residents to remain patient waiting for developments to be conveyed by the government, and to follow the stages as set out.

In addition to holding meetings with several related parties, said Thambrin, he has also coordinated with the Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah Organization of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia.

He said that currently the Ministry of Religion is coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health regarding the departure plan and the provisions that must be carried out.

"This coordination includes the issue of vaccines received by Saudi Arabia. But the Ministry of Religion is struggling so that the vaccinations being carried out in Indonesia can be accepted as a condition for the departure of prospective Umrah pilgrims," he said.

In addition, the Ministry of Religion is also coordinating with the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding which airports are suitable for the departure of pilgrims.
