Governor Of Bali: 20 Thousand Tourists Mostly From Europe Have Booked Hotels In November

BADUNG - Bali Governor Wayan Koster said that there were no international direct flights to Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, after the foreign tourist 'gate' opened today.

"We don't have it this week, we can't say for sure next week, hopefully there will be (tourists to Bali)," said Koster at a press conference at the International Arrival Terminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, Thursday, October 14.

According to him, this condition occurs because a new regulation has been set by the central government regarding international direct flights from 19 countries. However, it is estimated that by the end of October, foreign tourists will begin to arrive in Bali.

"I think that people abroad will have certainty of direction to follow the provisions in traveling to Bali. Thus, I hope that in the days ahead, there will be an increase in bookings (hotels) from tourists from various countries," he said.

But Koster said, in November, there were thousands of foreign tourists or foreign tourists who had booked hotels in Bali. Most come from European countries.

"But from the report I received yesterday, from the 19 countries (which were allowed to enter), there were indeed those who ordered hotels. Some of those countries had ordered up to 3 thousand, some had 2 thousand, some 1,500. From Europe, I had quite a lot. see. But if the total is November, the order is 20,000, which is already in November from yesterday," said Koster.
