The KPK Public Prosecutor Plans To Present Anies Baswedan As A Witness At The Munjul Land Corruption Allegation Session

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to present DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan as a witness in the trial of alleged corruption in land acquisition for the Rp0 DP house program.

This plan was announced after the indictment of former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Yoory Corneles, was read at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Thursday, October 14.

Anies' former subordinate was charged with harming the state and committing acts of corruption that benefited himself, others and corporations.

"It is possible (to bring Anies, ed) because it could be said that in this procurement there was a policy and then there was a decree signed by the competent authorities," KPK prosecutor Takdir Suhan told reporters.

"We will see that later," he added.

Apart from Anies, the KPK prosecutor also plans to present other witnesses to prove Yoory's rioting. Moreover, the anti-corruption commission suspects that there are other parties involved in the implementation of the land in Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, East Jakarta.

"To support our indictment, there are parties who have a stake in the implementation of this procurement," said Takdir.

Previously reported, Yoory Corneles was charged with enriching himself and causing state financial loss of Rp. 152,565.440,000 during the land acquisition process in Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, East Jakarta for the Rp 0 DP house program.

"Enriching oneself or another person or a corporation, namely enriching Anja Runtuwene and Rudi Hartono Iskandar as beneficial owners of the PT Adonara Propertindo corporation in the amount of Rp. "said the KPK prosecutor when reading the indictment in court.

This state loss is a finding from the audit report of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) on September 3, 2021. In the indictment, Yoory has also committed or participated in committing several unlawful acts.

One of them, he is considered to have violated Government Regulation Number 54 of 2017 concerning Regional-Owned Enterprises and DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 50 of 2019 concerning Guidelines for Procurement of Goods/Services for Regional-Owned Enterprises.
