After Being Kicked Out Of The Political Arena By The KPK, Rasamala Aritonang Intends To Create A Liberation Union Party

JAKARTA - Former Head of the Drafting of Regulations and Legal Products at the KPK Legal Bureau, Rasamala Aritonang announced that the party he formed would be called the Liberation Union Party. This was conveyed through his Twitter account @RasamalaArt.

"Its name is: "United Liberation Party"," wrote Rasamala quoted on Thursday, October 14.

He explained that this name means togetherness and collective strength as a movement to free society from the shackles of suffering due to corruption. "The ideology: Pancasila is not just a jargon," said Rasamala.

Rasamala is one of 57 KPK employees who were dismissed by the KPK leadership after failing to become a State Civil Apparatus (ASN) due to not passing the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK). He has officially stopped working on the anti-corruption commission since September 30.

After being dismissed, a number of former KPK employees did have various activities that were different from before. Some of them trade and even raise livestock to fill their days.

Previously, Rasamala wanted to form a party because he considered politics to be a strategic vehicle in a democratic system, although its existence was often criticized by the public. He also said that the party had a big role in making changes.

Even so, this intention is still being discussed further with a number of parties. In addition to his fellow former KPK employees, Rasama will also discuss with national leaders.

Regarding this intention, the former Chairperson of the KPK Employee Forum, Yudi Purnomo Harahap, gave his support to Rasamala. According to him, his colleague is a person whose integrity has been tested at the KPK.

So he is sure that the desire will get a positive response, especially from the community. "Personally, as the former chairman of the WP KPK, of course I support the dreams of each of these 57, the important thing is to contribute to the people of Indonesia, including @RasamalaArt who wants to create a political party," he said quoted from his Twitter account @yudiharahap46.

However, he reminded his colleague to remain idealistic, consistent, and not compromise with things that are far from the spirit of anti-corruption. Moreover, at this time the community needs a young figure and an alternative that is far from violent acts.

"My message to @RasamalaArt, who will establish a political party, is to remain idealistic, maintain consistency in the truth, do not compromise, and continue to inflame the spirit of anti-corruption," said Yudi.

"People are waiting for young leaders and alternatives that are still clean from corruption," added the former KPK investigator.
