JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Justice and Unity Party (PKP) Said Salahudin, said his party invited and opened the door wide for 57 former employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to join political parties.

"The PKP in its statutes is clearly an open party. Anyone, any group will fight to become a stronghold of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. As long as the vision is the same as the PKP, it is open to anyone, including former KPK employees. You cannot discriminate," said Said to VOI, Thursday, October 14.

According to him, the former KPK employee is in line with the PKP in terms of eradicating corruption. In fact, Said, Chairman of the PKP Yussuf Solichien, even dared to say in front of President Jokowi that had they not violated the law, the corruptors should have just been shot dead. Especially for those who steal state money when the people are in trouble.

"This shows that the PKP's commitment to corruption eradication is strong. So, Mr. Yusuf Solihin said that before the president he met not once but twice. He also conveyed it twice," said Said.

"The two meetings and the statement were also conveyed by Mr. Yusuf. This means that if it is about the spirit of the spirit of eradicating corruption, there is no doubt about the PKP," said Said.

According to Said, all former KPK employees are credible people who have no problems with the state. So, of course PKP embraces people who want to fight together against corruption.

"When institutions such as the National Police are willing to accept them, it means that they actually have no problem for the state. The credible evidence is that the Police are willing to accept them, ready to accept them," said Said.

"So the position is the same as the other 57 former KPK employees in terms of the spirit to make this country a country free from corruption. Not the 57 but even hundreds of millions of people who have the same spirit," he continued.

Including within the party, Said said, the cadres were reminded to stay away from corrupt practices in order to maintain people's trust. At this time, political parties have very little public trust.

"Yes, the practice that has occurred so far, the results of the research place political parties as one of the institutions that lack public trust. We must respect the results of the research. From there, we can see that there is something wrong in the management of the party," he explained.

Yusuf asked the government to be firm in handling corruption cases. He considered that corruptors should be impoverished by draining their wealth and assets away.

"All assets of corruptors should be confiscated by the state, nothing should be released. If there is corruption, they should be confiscated until they are dry, until their wealth runs out," said Yusuf at the location.

In his national speech, Yusuf also suggested that corruptors be severely punished. He assessed that corruptors who have no conscience, are inhumane, and are very detrimental to the people can be shot dead.

"If he's still corrupt, we'll shoot him in the head. But there's a law, if you've been ordered to direct it, it's too much, right," he said.
