JAKARTA - The Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) is listed as one of the most dangerous organizations by Facebook. In response to this, the General Chair of the 212 Persaudaraaan Alumni (PA), Slamet Ma'arif, suspected that FPI was included in the list because there were 'whispers' from the Joko Widodo administration.

"Facebook is highly suspected of receiving input from the current regime. I'm sure if FB is asked what the danger (FPI) is, it doesn't know, bye", Slamet said in a short message, Thursday, October 14.

In the Facebook blacklist document that was spread, FPI was included in the category of hate-spreading groups. Slamet relates this to the government's sentiments.

"That the hate category means that the Jokowi government hates this time, right? Or is it hated by the oligarchs? Hahaha", he quipped.

Slamet also regretted that the organization formed by Muhammad Rizieq Shihab, which has now been disbanded, was included in an organization that Facebook considered dangerous to be leveraged on its social media.

"It's a mess if different views and opinions are considered a danger in a country that is said to be a democracy", said Slamet.

However, Slamet actually suspected that Facebook had blacklisted FPI. Because, according to his confession, uploads of content containing FPI and Rizieq on Facebook are often deleted by themselves.

"We've been smelling this for a long time. That's why every FPI post has to be taken down. As far as I remember, 212 appeared in 2016", he said.

As is known, documents belonging to Facebook containing thousands of lists of organizations and names of individuals deemed dangerous were leaked to the public. A copy of the electronic document is 100 pages thick.

As Intercept reveals, Facebook compiles the list of organizations and names based on several categories. The categories of organizations and individuals affiliated with these organizations include groups that spread hatred, terror movements, criminals, and militarized social movements.

This list is compiled from organizations and individuals spread all over the world, including Indonesia. One of the organizations considered dangerous is the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI). FPI is included in the category of hate speech groups.

Besides FPI, there are also organizations in Indonesia that are included in the list, namely the Islamic Jihad Front, the Islamic Student Front, the Islamic Community Forum, and the Indonesian Santri Front.

Meanwhile, on the list of individuals who are considered dangerous, the name Muhammad Rizieq Shihab, who is a former FPI leader, also appears. Apart from Rizieq, other former FPI officials such as Habib Ali Alatas, Munarman, and Muhsin Ahmad al Attas also appeared.
