JAKARTA - Trans Jateng Corridor VI Semarang-Grobogan route was officially launched. Residents, from traders to students, welcomed it because it was helped by the mass transportation.

The launch which was carried out at the Grobogan Regency Government Pendapa was marked by the breaking of a jug by the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo. Also present were the Regent of Grobogan Sri Sumarni, the Regent of Demak Eisti'anah.

Godong Market trader, Rahyono said, Trans Jateng buses really help the community in facilitating transportation. Besides being cheap, bus facilities are very convenient for passengers.

A student of SMAN 1 Godong, Pragalia Najla said that the Trans Jateng Semarang-Grobogan bus made it easier to access and transportation facilities for the community, especially students.

"This is good because it makes access easier, coincidentally one of the bus stops is in front of the school," he said.

Usually, if he goes to school, he has to use a motorbike to shuttle for about seven kilometers. This time, you can easily use the Trans Jateng bus for only Rp. 2,000 for students.

It is known that Trans Jateng has prepared 14 buses to serve the Semarang-Gubug (Grobogan) route.

The Trans Central Java-Grobogan route will go through the Penggaron terminal (Semarang City) to the Tegowanu Market stop, Gubug Terminal, Mintreng Terminal, Godong Terminal, and SMAN 1 Godong. On this route, 63 passenger boarding points will be prepared, and 51 bus stops will be added.

Meanwhile, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said the Trans Java program was to encourage the transportation system to work.

“Since I served in my first term, I wanted transportation to be good and cheap. The first priority is for workers, the second is students and the third is veterans. Later, others can continue with this lower general tariff, so that we can respect them," he said.

According to him, the Trans Central Java program will continue to grow. The provincial government will facilitate then in the future the regional government will continue transportation to villages.

“This corridor can develop depending on the conditions on the ground. Earlier, I spoke with the Regent of Grobogan and the Regent of Demak, if later it was forwarded to the ends of the village, I think the community can use the transportation system well," he said.
