Bogor City Education Office Trials PTM SD In The Third Week Of October

BOGOR - The Bogor City Education Office (Disdik) plans to conduct face-to-face learning trials (PTM) for 36 public and private elementary schools (SD) in the third week of October.

"The exact date will be later, we are just planning, everyone is still waiting for the COVID-19 Task Force," said Head of the Bogor City Education Office, Hanafi, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, October 12.

Before submitting PTM to the Bogor City COVID-19 Task Force, Hanafi said, his party had carried out factual verification of school eligibility, both at the elementary level and previously at the junior high school level.

He said the number of elementary schools that passed the factual verification to carry out the first batch of PTM trials was around 13 percent of the total 280 elementary schools in Bogor City, consisting of 211 public elementary schools and 69 private elementary schools.

This small percentage, said Hanafi, is to be a measurable sample for other schools because the implementation of the PTM trial will deal with how disciplined the schools, committees, parents, and students are in carrying out health protocols and other requirements.

Moreover, there has been no policy issued by the central government regarding the proposal of the Bogor City DPRD to carry out vaccination of children under 12 years of age.

This, continued Hanafi, needs to be addressed with caution but should not hinder the enthusiasm of elementary school students to return to school.

According to him, elementary school students who in fact are still under the care of their parents, either going to school or other activities have more challenges in terms of order.

Parents are not allowed to wait for their children at school, but are only allowed to drop them off and pick them up.

"Just walking, we try to continue to make preparations," he said.
