If Rachel Vennya Really Escaped During Quarantine At Wisma Atlet Pademangan, Ministry Of Health Asks Officials To Give Sanctions

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, admitted that the COVID-19 Task Force was currently investigating the news of Rachel Vennya, which was rumored to have run away while still undergoing quarantine at the Pademangan Athlete's Guesthouse after returning from the United States.

"This is being investigated by the Quarantine Task Force. We are waiting for the results, okay," Nadia told VOI, Tuesday, October 12.

Nadia said quarantine for foreign travelers is regulated in the Addendum to Circular Letter Number 18 of 2021 concerning International Travel Health Protocols During the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic.

In the rules, everyone who arrives in Indonesia from abroad is required to quarantine for 8 x 24 hours and carry out an RT-PCR test.

If it is true that Rachel Vennya violated the regulation, Nadia asked law enforcement officials to impose strict sanctions. by law enforcement," he said.

Violators of quarantine rules can be considered as not participating in the prevention of the coronavirus outbreak. The sanctions are regulated in Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine.

Article 93 of the Health Quarantine Law states that any person who does not comply with the implementation of health quarantine and/or obstructs the implementation of health quarantine so as to cause a public health emergency shall be subject to a maximum imprisonment of 1 year and/or a maximum fine of IDR 100 million.

In addition, Nadia also appealed that there are no individuals who carry out actions that have the potential to endanger the lives of the entire community.

"The Ministry of Health warns other individuals and candidates not to play with the lives of the Indonesian people. The government will never tolerate any form of effort to violate health protocols and health quarantine," explained Nadia.

As is known, internet celebrity Rachel Vennya reportedly ran away from Wisma Atlet. She is scheduled to undergo an eight-day quarantine after returning from the United States.

This news circulated after an Instagram account named @_melatiintaan wrote a comment about the celebrity. This account claims to be one of the data input officers at Wisma Atlet Kemayoran.

According to her, Rachel is required to undergo quarantine for eight days but it turns out that Rachel only runs for three days.

"Ohhh, she was supposed to be quarantined at Wisma Atlet for 8 days, eh. But she just ran away after 3 days???" wrote @_melatiintaan on October 8, 2021.

This account also mentions Rachel Vennya being in the same room with her lover, Salim Nauderer, and her manager even though they are not husband and wife.

"Because I entered her data at Wisma Atlet Pademangan. In the name Allah... Satisfied? I asked her address and she pretended to be stupid until she shared the same room with Salim even though she was not husband and wife, I asked for a marriage book, they asked why all three of them were with Rachel's manager, who was a girl. ..." said the account.
