Gradually, The Central Government Will Add 2 Million Doses Of Vaccine For Garut

GARUT - The central government has promised to add 2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine for Garut Regency, West Java. This vaccine will be given in stages in order to boost the acceleration of vaccination so that group immunity is realized.

"We were promised to fulfill 2 million vaccines from the center, but they were brought in gradually, so our efforts to increase vaccination coverage have been seen," said Secretary of the Garut District Health Office Leli Yuliani when contacted by reporters in Garut, reported by Antara, Monday, October 11.

He said that in addition to providing supplies from the center, 125,000 doses of vaccine have been received by the Garut Regency Health Office, plus 80,000 doses of vaccine from the TNI, so the total is more than 200 thousand doses.

"Today it started arriving, today 125,000 doses have arrived again, the TNI is also reported to have 80,000 doses," he said.

Leli said that all doses of the vaccine that had just been received in Garut were immediately distributed to every sub-district to speed up vaccination targeting the general public.

"We want the 125,000 doses to be spread to all sub-districts in three days so that vaccination can be accelerated," he said.

Efforts to accelerate the achievement of vaccination in Garut, said Leli, the local government has prepared more than a thousand vaccinators who are ready to move to every sub-district including villages that can be reached by the community. In addition, he continued, efforts to accelerate vaccination in Garut also involve health facilities. owned by the government and private, health professional organizations are also as high as health in Garut.

"We will cooperate with all health facilities, both government and private, to jointly carry out vaccinations, including professional organizations, and cooperate with our health high schools," he said.

He added that currently the people of Garut are enthusiastic about wanting to be vaccinated, as observed at the Garut Hall, there are always many people lining up to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

"Mass vaccinations in sub-districts have also started running, but not all of them are running because there are a lot of new vaccines coming today," he said.

The latest report on the achievement of vaccination in Garut was the first dose of 581,829 people or about 29.4 percent, then the second dose of 248,272 people or about 12.6 percent of the total vaccine target of 1,977,713 people.
