CIANJUR - The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Cianjur, West Java, together with five other organizations, conducted mass vaccinations in nine sub-districts from north to south, with a target of 20 thousand recipients, to help achieve the target of 50 percent vaccination in local districts.

Secretary of PMI Cianjur, Heri Hidayat in Cianjur Sunday, said that in order to achieve the vaccination target in Cianjur, his party together with other mass organizations such as Baznas, BPBD Cianjur, PB NU and other organizations, deployed 42 volunteers with a daily target of being able to provide vaccinations for 2,000 recipients.

"We have moved from October 9 to 18, with a target of 20 thousand recipients in seven sub-districts spread across the north to south such as Ciranjang, Sukaluyu, Bojongpicung, Haurwangi, Sukanagara, Pagelaran, Cibinong, Cidaun and Naringgul sub-districts," said Heri Hidayat. .

Every day the volunteer team holds mass vaccinations in each sub-district, precisely in front of the sub-district office, in order to make it easier for residents to come to the location, so that the target at each point is as desired by 2,000 people, so that the achievement of the vaccination target in Cianjur can be in accordance with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cianjur dropped to level 1.

The Regent of Cianjur, Herman Suherman, said that in order to go down to level 1, his party targets to vaccinate as many as 51,000 recipients, involving various groups including health workers at 42 health centers in Cianjur as well as community organizations including PMI Cianjur.

"We are trying to target 50 percent of vaccinations from 1.9 million recipients to be completed by October 18, so Cianjur can drop from level 3 to level 1 according to the Ministry of Home Affairs because the indicator is no longer a matter of handling but the percentage of vaccinations that are on target. Most of the areas are green and there are zero cases," he said.

Even to pursue vaccination targets, his party added vaccination service centers from north to south by involving hundreds of vaccine volunteers.

"We hope that the vaccine stock will be adequate and there will be no delay in supply from the center," he said.
