The Death Of 5 Fiber Optic Cable Excavation Workers In Tangerang, Police Suspected Coming From Leaking Natural Gas

TANGERANG – The incident of the death of a fiber optic cable quarry worker in Tangerang raises the question of whether the victims died due to electrocution or indeed the victims inhaled the poisonous natural gas that leaked in the hole.

When met by reporters, the Head of Cipondoh Police, Commissioner Ubaidillah, said that his party still suspected that the cause of death of three workers in a housing culvert in Taman Royal, Tangerang, Banten Province, was due to inhalation of natural gas vapors.

"It is suspected that the cause of death of the workers was due to inhaling natural gas vapors from inside the fiber optic cable culverts," said Cipondoh Police Chief Commissioner Ubaidillah in Tangerang, Thursday, October 7.

Ubaidillah said the police had coordinated to find the cause of the death of the workers. And based on information, that the fiber optic cable culverts in Tangerang have not been opened for a long time, so it is suspected that natural gas vapors are generated.

The five victims have been evacuated by Tangerang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) officers to Tangerang District Hospital.
