BANDA ACEH - Aceh Police Traffic Director Kombes Dicky Sondani said the application of electronic traffic law enforcement (ETLE) will begin in November 2021.

"The implementation of ETLE is planned to start next November. However, there could be an acceleration of implementation," said Kombes Dicky Sondani in Banda Aceh, quoted by Antara, Thursday, October 7.

For the initial stage, the application of ELTE is only in Banda Aceh City and parts of Aceh Besar District. Where 20 monitoring cameras have been installed that support the application of electronic ticketing.

Currently, the implementation of ELTA is still in the pilot phase and socialization to the community. Once this is enforced, any violators will be fined. The ticket is sent to the address based on the vehicle number.

Kombes Dicky said the party continues to socialize ETLE to the public and visits schools and campuses, so that they understand the purpose of implementing the electronic ticket.

"This application is not a joke. The application of ETLE is to suppress traffic violations by the Acehnese people. We admit that traffic violations in Aceh are quite high," he continued.

The Aceh Regional Police recorded more than 21,000 traffic violations in Aceh in a month. This means that in a day in Aceh there are 700 traffic violations.

"We hope that the implementation of this electronic ticket will reduce the number of traffic violations in Aceh. Of course we should be ashamed that Aceh is still an area with high traffic violations in Indonesia," said Kombes Dicky Sondani.
