JAKARTA - Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X asked state and private universities in his area to prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) before deciding to hold face-to-face lectures (PTM). Sultan HB X at the Kepatihan Complex, Yogyakarta, Thursday, said that the SOP need to be prepared and mutually agreed upon through the Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) Region V Yogyakarta. "How through the organization equates the perception of building SOPs as is done in other institutions," he said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, October 7.

The preparation of uniform SOPs related to the implementation of health protocols, according to him, is like what hotels have done through the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) and other tourism business associations. The Sultan confirmed that he would close face-to-face lectures on campuses where cases of COVID-19 transmission were found. "Once there is a red (campus), yes, I ask to close it. It is impossible for me to make SOPs," said the King of the Yogyakarta Palace.
