Jember Health Office: Rahel, The High School Student Dies Not Due To Vaccination But Sepsis Infection

JEMBER - The Jember District Health Office, East Java, has received the results of an investigation into the case of the death of a high school student named Ananda Rahel Pratama (15) after undergoing the COVID-19 vaccine.

As a result, it was confirmed that Rachel died not from vaccination. However, due to septic infection.

"The results of the examination that caused Rachel's death were not due to vaccination, lab results, and a diagnosis of sepsis infection," said Acting Head of the Jember District Health Office, Dr. Lilik Lailiyah, Wednesday, October 6.

She said the investigation was carried out at the victim's school, the Public Health Center (Puskesmas) serving, and Balung Hospital, Jember. Then the examination is carried out in the laboratory.

Lilik said Rahel died 9 days after undergoing the COVID-19 vaccination.

"I don't know yet when did he get it, because the duration of the vaccine is 9 days, after the vaccine, he played soccer," she said.

In addition, there were no signs of inflammation in the body that was injected. "If there is an infection from the injection, there may be a red sign of inflammation, there is no complaint there," she said.
