Gunungkidul Regency Government Proposes Trial Of 7 Limited Tourist Attractions From Pindul Cave To Watulumbung Beach

GUNUNGKIDUL - The Government of Gunungkidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, proposed seven tourist attractions to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to obtain permission to carry out a trial of opening a limited tourist attraction.

Gunungkidul Regent Sunaryanta said the Gunungkidul Regency Government through the Tourism Office together with tourism actors in this region had prepared the trial requirements for opening a limited tourist attraction.

"Until now, all tourist attractions managed by the government and tourist villages are still temporarily closed. We have proposed seven tourist attractions so that they can carry out limited trials," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, October 6.

However, the regent did not specify in detail which tourist objects were proposed for limited trials.

"What is clear is that we have tried to propose tourist objects that are ready according to health protocols for reopening to the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) and central government," he said.

Sunaryanta appealed to both tourism actors and the public to remain patient while waiting for further decisions from the central government. Including waiting for the results of the submission. "We urge tourists and tourism actors to be patient until there is a permit for the trial of opening a limited tourist attraction," he appealed.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Gunungkidul Tourism Office (Dispar) Harry Sukmono confirmed that the submission had been made. Some of the submissions were made recently.

The seven tourist attractions in question are Baron Beach, Watulumbung Beach, Mount Ireng, Gentong Mountain, Pindul Cave, Kalisuci Cave, and Bejiharjo Edupark. These seven destinations have completed the requirements for a limited trial.

The submission was made through the DIY Dispar and then to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf). It is just waiting for a response from the center on the submission.

"We propose tourist objects that already have a CHSE certificate and a PeduliLindungi QR code. Currently, we are just waiting for a decision from the center," he said.
