Attending DPRD Meeting After PSI Fired, While Fisting Viani: I'm From The DKI Jakarta People's Faction

JAKARTA - Viani Limardi attended the Commission D meeting of the DKI Jakarta DPRD today, after being fired by the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) some time ago.

Whether serious or just joking, Viani introduced herself as a member of the DKI Jakarta people's faction when responding in the meeting between the DPRD and the DKI Provincial Government.

"Hello, good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, I am Viani from the DKI Jakarta people's faction," said Viani at the DKI DPRD Building, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, October 5.

Suddenly, Viani's words were immediately greeted with laughter by other DPRD members. Viani then continued her speech.

To the Head of the Water Resources Service Yusmada Faizal, Vinai admitted that he was surprised why the river in the Sunter area, North Jakarta had not yet been installed with sheet piles on the banks of the river.

"In my constituency, in Sunter, to this day the sheet pile has not been built. Yesterday when I went down to the field with the Head of the Jakut Sub-dept., it turned out that I couldn't do it if I just plastered it, I couldn't stand it," he said.

Viani also complained about the threat of flooding in her home area, South Jakarta. In fact, the water level when the flood reached 2 meters. He admitted that he wanted to move house, but did not have Rp1 trillion in cash.

"I don't have IDR 1 trillion, sir, so I can't move from there," said Viani.

Viani's words were met with laughter by members of the DPRD who attended the meeting. Because, the nominal amount of Rp. 1 trillion is reminiscent of Viani's plan to sue PSI. It is known that Viani had made a discourse to sue PSI for Rp. 1 trillion because he was fired from party membership. Viani did not accept being accused of inflating recess funds which resulted in her being fired.

For information, the DPP of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) dismissed DKI DPRD member Viani Limardi from her party membership. His dismissal letter was sent on September 25, 2021.

PSI said that his party would immediately send a letter of dismissal to the leadership of the DKI DPRD. However, until now the Secretariat of the DKI DPRD has not received the letter.

Plt. Secretary of the DPRD DKI Augustinus said, if later the Chairperson of the DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, received a letter, it did not mean that Viani would automatically no longer be a member of the DKI DPRD. He said that there is still an administrative process that must be passed before Viani leaves his position.

"Currently still working. His status is still a member of the council," said Augustine.
