Car Wash Employee Threatened With Sickles, Only Cellphones Were Stolen By The Perpetrators

JAKARTA - Jefry Pratama Putra (30), an employee at a motorcycle wash, became a victim of a robbery at his place of work on North Meruya Street, Kembangan, West Jakarta. As a result of the incident, the victim suffered stab wounds to his hands, back, head and chest.

The incident began when the victim was playing with his cellphone at his place of work on Sunday, October 3, yesterday. The incident occurred around 02.00 western Indonesia time, when the situation was quiet. Suddenly about four perpetrators came to the victim. The perpetrators pointed a sickle at the victim while asking the victim to hand over his cellphone.

The victim also insisted on defending his cellphone, so the perpetrators stabbed the victim with sharp weapons that he had prepared. The suspect then fled with the victim's cellphone.

The victim was in critical condition due to stab wounds all over his body. The victim has been taken to the Pelni hospital for treatment.

After receiving a report of a crime of theft with violence, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police immediately conducted a crime scene (TKP). The police also collected a number of witnesses and CCTV evidence related to the incident to complete the investigation process.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police, Commissioner Adjutant Ferdi Alvianto, said that his party had examined the condition of the victim at the hospital and collected witness statements.

"We have checked CCTV around the location. We will try our best to uncover this case," he told VOI, Monday, October 4.

Until now, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police has examined a number of eyewitnesses to the incident. While being asked about the perpetrators of motorcycle gangs who often throw tantrums in the area, the Head of Unit has not been able to conclude.

"Still under investigation to catch the perpetrators. We urge the public not to move outside the house late at night. Increase vigilance around and if you find a crime, immediately report it to the nearest police station," he said.
