JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission VII DPR RI Ace Hasan Syadzili regretted the attitude of the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini who scolded and appointed one of the social assistance assistants for the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Gorontalo.

"We regret the way Mrs. Risma gave a warning to officials under the Ministry of Social Affairs. There is a more ethical way and maintains people's dignity," said Ace when contacted, Sunday, October 3.

If it was found that there were errors in the data collection of aid recipients, Ace considered that Risma was sufficient to reprimand without needing to scold his subordinates in front of other people. The way that Risma did, said Ace, could embarrass his employees.

"For example, if an error is found, there is a procedure to give a warning, to give a warning until it can be dismissed from its duties as a PKH companion," said Ace.

"I think more ethical ways are far more respectful of other people, because they are not small children who can be scolded like that," he continued.

After all, he said, Risma should understand the technical problems in the field. This is because Risma has held the position of Mayor of Surabaya before.

"Mrs. Risma is a former regional head, former mayor, so she should know the problems faced in terms of this data. As mayor of course you know what the root of the problem is, why this data collection problem occurs, right at any time the region can actually provide the latest data updates to Ministry of Social Affairs," he said.

Previously, circulating in cyberspace a video recording of Tri Rismaharini being angry at a meeting by pointing at a person's chest. Later, Risma took the action while attending a meeting with officials in Gorontalo on Thursday, September 30.

It is suspected that Risma's emotions peaked because a local social assistance official was judged to be incompetent in aligning the data on social assistance recipients with data held by the central government.

"It's not us who crossed out. The data is often slandered, it's me who got hit, you know or not," said Social Minister Risma when expressing her anger.

Suddenly the atmosphere became silent for a moment when the voice of the former mayor of Surabaya boomed throughout the room.

"I have never crossed out (data on social assistance recipients), in fact we added all regions," continued Risma.
