JAKARTA - Political Communication Observer from Airlangga University (Unair) Surabaya Suko Widodo views that the feud between two factions and seven factions in the DKI DPRD regarding the Interpellation of Formula E could extend to the next political stance.
The two factions that supported the interpellation of Anies were PDIP and PSI. Meanwhile, the seven opposing factions are Gerindra, PKS, Golkar, Nasdem, Democrats, PAN, and PPP-PKB.
The emergence of a divided political attitude in the DKI DPRD, said Suko, could be influenced by the coalition and opposition in the 2017 DKI Pilkada. In addition, the factions that previously did not support Anies Baswedan in the 2017 DKI gubernatorial election began to close.
Departing from his attitude towards the Interpellation of Formula E, Suko considers the political views that are divided between the seven and two factions can be passed on to the 2024 Pilkada carriage.
"This attitude could be from remnants of the past, continuing to move forward as well. This is inseparable from past conflicts (2017 elections) and will continue to take place in the context of 2024," said Suko when contacted, Friday, October 1.
PDIP and PSI are indeed trying to lobby other factions so that they can participate in the Interpellation Formula E. It is also possible that the lobbying was carried out informally outside the DKI DPRD.
However, seeing the attitude of the seven factions which stated that they would not participate in the interpellation process, coupled with the agenda of having dinner with Anies at his official residence, Suko saw that this lobbying was difficult to materialize.
"It is very likely that the seven factions do support Anies. If there is a deadlock in political communication, PDIP and PSI will use the media outside parliament. But, it doesn't necessarily produce results," he said.
It is known that the chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, who is from the PDIP faction, held a plenary meeting for the Interpellation of Formula E. Unfortunately, the plenary had to be postponed because it did not meet the quorum.
This is because the seven factions have firmly stated that they will not participate in the interpellation plenary meeting. In fact, they reported Prasetyo to the Honorary Board of the DKI DPRD for holding a plenary meeting.
These seven factions view the interpellation plenary meeting as illegal. Because, Prasetyo set the interpellation plenary meeting schedule in the Jakarta DPRD Deliberative Body without any prior notification of the agenda.
