JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has continued limited face-to-face learning (PTM) in schools after a four-day delay due to the Computer-Based National Assessment (ANBK) since Monday, September 27.

In the continuation of today's limited PTM, the DKI Provincial Government has increased the number of schools to 1,509 education units.

"Today, a limited PTM will be held in 1,509 schools," said Head of Public Relations of the DKI Jakarta Education Agency, Taga Radja Gah, to VOI, Friday, October 1.

Previously, there were 610 schools that implemented PTM in Jakarta. Then, starting today, the DKI Education Office has only added 899 schools to participate in PTM. This is stated in the Decree (SK) of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office Number 984 of 2021.

In detail, 890 schools ranging from kindergarten to high school and vocational schools and 90 Madrasahs. When added to the 610 schools that have implemented PTM before, the total schools that have implemented PTM in Jakarta to date are 1,509 schools.

"This means that 899 schools that were determined by the Head of the Education Office (Nahdiana) together with 610 schools will carry out PTM on October 1," added Taga.

The Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta gave a message that all school residents who held limited PTM must always follow health protocols, both at school and on the way to school. He didn't want any more COVID-19 cases to be found at school.

Because, some time ago, there was a finding of a COVID-19 cluster in a school, namely SD Negeri Klender 03. This school was declared a COVID-19 cluster because it had a confirmed case that infected another student at the educational institution.

In addition to one school that was registered as a COVID-19 cluster, there were five other schools that were recorded to have COVID-19 cases during the PTM implementation but had not been named as clusters.

The schools included COVID-19 cases for teachers at SMK 66 Jakarta, students at SDN Pondok Ranggon 02, PGRI 20 SMP teachers, 25 SMA Negeri 25 teachers, and 20 SMA Negeri 20 students.

In addition to the six schools where cases were found, there was also one school that was proven to have violated health protocols. As a result, these 7 schools were temporarily closed.

"We learned from the previous 7 school cases, it turns out that more exposures are not at school. For that, we convey to all of us especially parents at home to ensure that our children are protected and free from COVID-19 at home, in the environment and trip," said Riza.

"In schools, it is the responsibility of the school to be sterilized, cleaned regularly, periodically and ensure that health protocols are carried out properly and responsibly," he added.
