The Meaningful Of Sabam Sirait's House For Jokowi-Ahok, Pairs To Fight Fauzi Bowo In The DKI Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - Sabam Sirait's house has a high historical value. Inside the house, Joko Widodo and Basuki T Purnama once ran for the 2012 Jakarta gubernatorial election against Fauzi Bowo.

As we know, the Jokowi-Ahok pair finally won the election. Jakarta was completely overhauled by these two people. But two years later, they were 'divorced'. Jokowi leveled up to become president and Ahok became the first person in Jakarta.

"Incidentally, the first time we nominated the governor and deputy governor with Pak Jokowi, they came here to his house (Sabam Sirait)", Ahok told reporters, Thursday, September 30.

Ahok said that after visiting Sabam Sirait. This veteran politician passed away on September 29 yesterday due to lung disease.

At that time, Ahok also mentioned the moment when Sabam Sirait left. This funeral event even brought him together again with Jokowi. This is considered a sign of respect for him and the president of Sabam Sirait.

"And today accidentally without an appointment to meet again (with Jokowi). Yes, I think yes, maybe the last person will come together", he said.

Previously reported, former Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Basuki Tjahaja Purnama aka Ahok met at the Sabam Sirait funeral home. During the meeting, the two had a chance to talk.

Based on VOI monitoring, President Jokowi first arrived at the funeral home. He took the time to pay his respects and meet the family of the founder of PDIP. After finishing the funeral, Jokowi immediately left the location. This is when Jokowi met the newly arrived Ahok.
