PADANG - Padang City Government, West Sumatra is still experiencing a shortage of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of approximately eight thousand people to meet the existing needs.
"Based on the analysis of positions and workloads, the need for ASN in the Padang City Government reaches 15 thousand people, currently there are only 8,671 people, meaning that around eight thousand more people are needed," said the Head of the Padang City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM). Arfian was quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 29.
According to him, in the 2021 CPNS test, the Padang City Government opened 118 CPNS formations, 12 non-teacher PPPK formations and 476 teacher PPPK formations.
"However, from January to August 2021 there were 330 people entering retirement age, meaning that the number of existing ASNs continues to decrease," he said.
Arfian detailed that of the 8,671 ASN there were about eight people with the latest education level of doctorate, master or master 780 people, bachelor degree as many as 5,289 people, diploma III 1,300 high school 1,127 people and junior high school about eight people.
Of the 8,671 1,244 people are at the structural, implementing or general functional level, 2,708 people, 1,141 health workers, 3,476 educators and 102 other functional people.
Even though Padang lacks ASN, Arfian ensures that for now there are no longer receiving contract workers and honorariums because they are not allowed and burden the APBD.
However, there are freelance daily workers such as cleaning staff at the Environmental Service, he said.
In addition, there are also daily workers whose salaries are paid because there are activities in the related SKPD, but they are more of a non-monthly activity.
Arfian added that currently there are vacancies for definitive office heads at the Population and Civil Registry Office, Inspectorate, Tourism Office, Public Works Office which are temporarily filled by task executors until job fit and open selection are carried out.
