SERANG CITY - Residents of Bangkalok Village, Girimukti Village, Cimarga District, Lebak Regency were suddenly excited to learn that one of their residents was attacked by a family member with a machete. The trigger for the commotion turned out to be a trivial thing, a cigarette.

Rasdi (65), suffered serious injuries after a machete landed on his head and several other body parts. The perpetrator of the stabbing turned out to be his own biological son, Sy (28).

Lebak Police Public Relations Iptu Jajang confirmed the incident.

"Yes, that's right. I just got the data from the Police Chief", said Iptu Jajang when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, September 29, at noon.

According to information in the field, the stabbing took place on Tuesday, September 28, at Rasdi's house at around 18.30 WIB. At that time, Rasdi, who had just returned from the fields, was asked for a cigarette by Sy.

"The problem is that the perpetrator asked the victim for cigarettes, but the request could not be fulfilled. Because the request was not fulfilled, the perpetrator immediately took a machete and injured the victim", said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cimarga Police, when confirmed, Wednesday, September 29.

Residents who knew about the incident immediately took Rasdi to Dr. Adjidarmo Hospital Rangkasbitung for help.

So far, the suspect has been detained by the police for investigation.
