Sleman Regent Admits He Missed The Case Of A Forbidden Drug Factory Raided By The Criminal Investigation Department

SLEMAN - The Regent of Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region Kustini Sri Purnomo admitted he was fooled by the discovery of a drug factory on Siliwangi Street, Pelem Gurih, Gamping, Sleman by the National Police Criminal Investigation Department.

"This incident can be said to have 'missed' us together in monitoring the environment around us," said Kustini in Sleman, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 28.

For this incident, the Sleman Regent asked the heads of RT/RW, padukuhan, and kelurahan to increase supervision of their respective areas.

According to him, his party has asked for further information after the search conducted by the Criminal Investigation Police some time ago.

"It is known that the location is indeed quiet and only active at night," he said.

Kustini said that residents around the location did not know exactly what activities were taking place in the place. Even the workers inside have never interacted with the community.

"I have checked, indeed, no one knows what the residents are doing, all they know is that there are vehicles going in and out at night. So not many people know," he continued.

Regent Kustini asked the RT and RW to increase their supervision of the environment. Because with an incident like that, it can tarnish the name of the region and harm the community itself.

"I ask RTs and RWs to be more observant, whether they want rental permits, contracts and so on. They must really be monitored and night patrol activities can be maximized," he said.

Previously, the Bareskrim Polri closed two illegal drug factories, one of which was located in Banyuraden, Gamping District, Sleman Regency. From the closure, various types of drugs ready for distribution were found, namely Hexymer, Trihex, DMP, double L, and Irgaphan.
