Fighting Officers When Arrested, Police Shot Kalideres Begal Legs

JAKARTA - A member of a motorcycle gang named "Make Muke" was forced to get hit by hot lead members of the Kalideres Police Criminal Investigation Unit, West Jakarta. The perpetrator was paralyzed by officers because he tried to fight back when he was arrested.

"We had to paralyze one perpetrator when we arrested him. He tried to attack the officers," said Kalideres Police Chief AKP Hasoloan Situmorang to VOI, Monday, September 27.

Furthermore, the Police Chief explained that the motorcycle gang group on behalf of the Jakarta All Star "Make Muke" usually gathers in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta every Sunday night.

"They regularly gather on Sunday nights and communicate with each other through social media Facebook," he said.

The incident began when the perpetrator and his group were involved in a robbery on Jalan Satu Maret, Pegadungan, Kalideres, West Jakarta, last Sunday, September 19. As a result of the incident, two victims of the robbery named Dwi Prastyo (19) and Dendi Prio Wicaksono (19) suffered stab wounds in the hands and thighs.

In their action, said the police chief, they (the perpetrators) turned around in the Kapuk Cengkareng area. Because they could not find an opposing gang, they finally arrived at the Kalideres area, precisely on Jalan Satu Maret, Pegadungan, Kalideres, West Jakarta.

When they gathered, two people were found riding in opposite directions.

When the motorcycle gang met, the victim was immediately stabbed and the victim fell and was stabbed with sharp weapons by the motorcycle gang.

"After injuring the victim, then the motorbike was taken and the victim was rushed to the hospital. After the incident, they immediately fled," he said.

After his party received the report on the incident, the buser team went to the crime scene (TKP) to dig up witness statements and collect evidence around the location.

Armed with the information obtained, the buser team gave chase and managed to secure 11 people.

The police then named 8 people as suspects in connection with the theft with violence. They had the initials AN (18), SS (18), NR (19), FA (19), HA (24), FY (15), MR (15) and RA (17). One of them had to be hit by hot lead.

"Eight suspects are charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code," he said.
