JAKARTA - The South Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda) is investigating a case of alleged immoral acts by an individual member of the Maros Regency DPRD, initials SS (36) against a victim with the initials IMS (25) related to her report.

"Yes, it is true, there is a report. Currently it is handled by the Ditreskrimum team," said Head of Public Relations of the South Sulawesi Police, Grand Commissioner E Zulpan when confirmed by reporters, reported by Antara, Monday, September 27.

Asked how far the progress of the case was, said the middle-ranking police officer, the team is still in the process of investigating the case to uncover the case.

"Still in the investigation stage. But it has entered the stage of examinations, and summons. However, I have yet to confirm the extent of the case," he said.

Regarding the agenda for the investigation of the reported party, Zulpan added, the team is still carrying out the processes, including clarifying the alleged immoral act, both reported and reporter.

In addition, the police report is being processed by the Women and Children Empowerment Team (PPA) of the South Sulawesi Regional Police's Criminal Investigation Unit regarding alleged criminal violations.

Previously, victim IMS reported SS who was known to be a member of the Maros Regency DPRD from a United Development Party (PPP) cadre to the police regarding an alleged immoral act against her at a hotel in Makassar.

The victim is a young PPP Maros cadre since 2018 and knows the reported party. The victim did work as a "marketer" at a stock investment trading company by offering the reported investment of Rp50 million in the company last December 2019.

Until finally, this person asked the victim to come to a hotel in Makassar to participate in investing, later after the victim met in the hotel lobby, then asked her to go up to his room for fear of being seen by people transacting on the grounds of his status as a member of the board.

"I explained in the room at that time about this investment and then installed the application, but suddenly he immediately forced it," she said, admitting that she did not get the investment money promised after the incident to reporters when confirmed.

Until early 2020, the reported person contacted her again that the investment money was ready, but the condition was that he had to serve sexual relations with the victim. After doing that, the victim only received a transfer of Rp20 million, not in accordance with the offer.

The victim admitted that she had been treated like that three times, most recently in an empty house in Maros. Until she became pregnant, in April 2020 and was later aborted at the urging of the reported party. Because she felt harassed, and could not stand the intimidation of the reported party, she finally reported the incident to the police.

Chairman of the South Sulawesi PPP DPW Imam Fauzan Amir Uskara when confirmed about the alleged case said that his party was still looking for the real case, because it was outside the realm of the party. Regarding legal issues, it is a personal matter to the person concerned.

"I'm still looking for the real problem, because it's not clear who is wrong, or who is right. This is also not a party issue, but a personal issue, so it has nothing to do with the party," said Imam affirmed.
