150 Judges In East Java Reported Allegations Of Violation Of The Code Of Ethics, KY: The Game Is Sophisticated

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Judicial Commission Mukti Fajar Nur Dewata revealed that his party had received complaints of violations of the judicial code of ethics allegedly committed by at least 150 judges in East Java, the second most after DKI Jakarta.

"We have collaborated with PPATK (Center for Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis), the Prosecutor's Office, the Police and the KPK to improve supervision and supervision," he said during a working visit in the context of Public Education on the Duties and Functions of the Judicial Commission in Tulungagung, East Java, as reported by Antara. , Sunday, September 26.

He admits that it is not easy to find evidence of violations of the judge's code of ethics as people complain. This is because the patterns and modus operandi used are more sophisticated.

"The game is sophisticated, so finding evidence is difficult," he said.

However, if found, Mukti Fajar ensures that these rogue judges or termed black judges will be severely punished. This commitment has even become an integrity pact that was agreed in the form of a memorandum of understanding between KY and the Supreme Court.

"Well, we have agreed with the Supreme Court to 'finish it out'," he said.

The term black judge is commonly used by KY to characterize naughty judges who can/easily be bribed. Black judges are judges who always play the judiciary.

While the term white judge connotes judges who have ideals and act straight in upholding justice, and are never tempted by anything. While gray judges are judges who are conditional, sometimes they can be played, sometimes not, he said. The gray judge is called Mukti Fajar as a judge who can still be coached.

There are few types of black judges. For this year there are 4 judges who are in the black category.

He did not deny that there are still judges who are naughty, easily bribed and play tricks on the judiciary.

"We do not turn a blind eye to the many cases of judges being pressured here and there, being bribed here and there," said Mukti.

If they find this type of judge, Mukti explained that the public can report it to KY.

In the Strategic Plan, the target for 2024 is the judge integrity index (IIH) with a value of 8. For 2020 IIH is 6.64, while in 2021 it is targeting IIH at 7.
