JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government invites Jakarta residents to follow the challenge of reducing air pollution ahead of the commemoration of Environment Day which falls on June 21, 2025.
In the #GerakBersih campaign, the DKI Provincial Government challenged Jakarta residents to walk, ride bicycles, use public transportation, and electric vehicles to move for 14 days starting from 7-20 June 2025.
"Due to the high emission of PM 2.5 originating from daily mobility that is still not clean, the #GerakBersih campaign is a concrete step in encouraging more environmentally friendly and sustainable behavior," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency Asep Kuswanto.
Jakarta residents who want to take part in this challenge can register through the airkita Bersih.id website using a personal email. After that, participants are asked to fill out a daily form containing data on the type of vehicle used, type of fuel, distance, and upload evidence in the form of photos or screenshots of distances on maps.
Participants who use bicycles or walk can also participate. Make sure the save timeline feature in active maps is proof of travel, so that PM 2.5 estimates can be calculated from mobility activities during the campaign," explained Asep.
The winner of this challenge, continued Asep, will be divided into four categories, including: 1. The Most Active Low Emission Fighters are given to participants with the lowest trace of PM 2.5 emissions and the highest frequency for 14 days.
2. Most Active Public Transportation Users are given to and consistently using public transportation in their daily activities.
3. Most Consistent Zero-Emissions For participants who are most consistent in implementing the zero-emission lifestyle during the challenging period to avoid fully motorized vehicles.
4. ASN The Most Active Green Movement Fighters Awarded to the most consistent ASN category participants after instructions from the Governor in the use of mass public transportation.
