BMKG Weather Forecast: Alert Three Areas Of DKI Jakarta Potentially Rain, Other Big Cities Clear Cloudy

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts the weather in most major cities in Indonesia on Saturday morning will be cloudy.

According to the BMKG weather forecast, big cities with clear and cloudy weather include Gorontalo, Bandung, Semarang, Samarinda, Tarakan, Bandar Lampung, Mataram, Kupang, Jayapura, Manokwari, Mamuju, Makassar, Kendari, Palembang and Medan.

Weather for the cities of Denpasar, Serang, Bengkulu, Banjarmasin, Palangkaraya, Pangkal Pinang, Tanjung Pinang, and Manado is forecasted to be cloudy and the cities of Ambon and Ternate are forecasted to be cloudy. The weather in Banda Aceh, Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Padang is forecasted to be sunny.

In addition, BMKG predicts that the cities of Jambi and Pekanbaru will be covered with fog, and Pontianak City will face light rain.

Meanwhile, BMKG conveyed an early warning of the potential for heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in three areas of DKI Jakarta on Saturday.

"Be aware of the potential for heavy rain accompanied by lightning/strong winds in South Jakarta, East Jakarta, West Jakarta in the afternoon," the BMKG wrote on its official website.

For the weather in DKI Jakarta in the morning, BMKG predicts that the entire capital city will be cloudy. Meanwhile, in the afternoon, cloudy weather is predicted in the Thousand Islands and cloudy skies in North Jakarta and Central Jakarta.

Meanwhile, for other areas, such as East Jakarta and West Jakarta, light rain is forecast. For the South Jakarta area, rain and lightning are forecast for the afternoon.

Continue into the night. The East Jakarta area is forecasted to rain with light intensity. Meanwhile, West Jakarta and South Jakarta are forecasted to rain with moderate intensity.

Only the Central Jakarta and North Jakarta areas are forecasted to be cloudy at night. Meanwhile, the Thousand Islands region is forecasted to be cloudy at night.

The air temperature ranges from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the humidity ranges from 75 to 95 percent.
