Depok Breaks Congestion Through Odd-Even License Plate Rule Implementation, Early October

DEPOK – Frequent traffic jams on weekends, the Depok Metro Police Satlantas (Polrestro) will implement an odd-even policy. The policy will be implemented in early October 2021. However, the socialization phase is currently being carried out to the public.

As said by the Head of Traffic of Depok Polrestro Andi M Indra to reporters, his party will conduct trials and socialize the odd-even license plate regulation application.

"Odd-even license plate regulation will be applied along Jalan Margonda. It will be applied to overcome traffic jams that occur every weekend. Odd-even for cars only," explained Andi at the Depok Police Headquarters, Friday, September 24.

Congestion often occurs in Depok. Not only along Jalan Margonda, but other roads in Depok are also experiencing the same problem. Therefore, the Depok City Government through Polantas and Dishub will mobilize four-wheeled vehicles through the odd-even application.
