JAKARTA - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil signed two regulations regarding the holding of Eid al-Adha in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. In one of the regulations, it was stated that the public should not buy sacrificial animals directly but take advantage of online or online ordering.

Through the Governor's Decree No. 443 / Kep376-Hukham / 2020 regarding the inspection protocol for the sale and slaughter of sacrificial animals, it is stated that there are several things that must be considered by the public, namely complying with applicable health protocols and avoiding going to animal markets to prevent transmission of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, in relation to the implementation of slaughtering animals, it can be done in a closed field or mosque so as not to attract public attention.

"The location for slaughtering animals can be done in the field or in a mosque but it must be equipped with a cover so as not to attract attention and cause crowds and sacrifices. Animal slaughterers, he continued, are required to clean the tools they will use with disinfectants. Meanwhile, the manager is obliged to provide running water complete with soap.

In addition, the animal slaughterer and the distribution committee must be ensured that they are healthy. While on duty they are required to wear long sleeves, wear a mask, face shield, and gloves. The goal is to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, for distribution, he said, it must be carried out directly to the people who are entitled to receive it. "So this year there will be no sharing of meat in one place until it is overcrowded and all these protocols are supervised by the regency / municipal government," he said.

Furthermore, another regulation issued by Ridwan Kamil is the Governor's Decree Number 451/110 / Hukham / 2020 concerning the implementation of Eid al-Adha prayers.

Daud said the regulation stated that Eid al-Adha prayers were allowed in mosques, fields and indoors as long as they observed health protocols.

"The district / city task forces determine which places are safe or unsafe to use for the Eid prayers," he said.

The governor's decree also regulates that the Id prayer committee must clean the prayer space using a disinfectant, impose a minimum distance of one meter, check the body temperature of the congregation with a thermo gun, provide an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, not run a charity box, and limit the number of entrances and exits. in order to facilitate inspection.

"Imams and preachers are welcome to shorten their readings and sermons without violating the Shari'a. After the prayers, the congregation also does not shake hands with each other," he concluded.
