President Jokowi: Everyone Must Collaborate, Convince The Community Of Safe And Halal Vaccinations

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invites all parties to collaborate to convince the public that COVID-19 vaccination is safe and halal, so that community immunity can be achieved immediately.

"All parties must collaborate, convince the public that vaccination is safe and halal, accelerate vaccination in accessible places, to touch as many people as possible," President Jokowi said virtually as reported by Antara, in Jakarta, Friday, September 24.

Therefore, the President welcomed Projo's initiative with GAPKI in accelerating vaccination. All parties, said Jokowi, need to participate so that the goal of COVID-19 vaccination can be achieved quickly.​​​​

According to the President, the plantation and agriculture sectors are important to get support in handling COVID-19. These two sectors are strategic sectors that are very much needed by the community. The growth of the plantation and agricultural sectors was also positive during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The President reminded that the COVID-19 pandemic cannot be predicted when it will end. He invited the community to work together to control the spread of COVID-19.

Even though they have received the vaccine, the President reminded the public not to ignore the health protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, such as wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands.

"Health protocols must become a new habit in carrying out daily activities," he said. According to the President, the adaptation of new habits, namely the application of health protocols, if carried out by all segments of society, from business actors, farmers, planters to students in schools will be an important key to bringing the nation through the transition from pandemic to endemic.

"So that we can carry out productive activities but remain safe from COVID-19," said President Jokowi.
