JAKARTA - The former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Yoory Corneles will soon be put on trial. The former subordinate of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan will be tried after his case file is declared complete and handed over from investigators to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday, September 23.

Yoory Corneles is a suspect in the alleged corruption in land acquisition in Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, Jakarta in 2019.

"The investigative team has finished carrying out Phase II or the submission of the suspect and the evidence of the YRC suspect to the prosecutor team because the examination of the completeness of the case files has been declared complete," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, September 24.

He said the file on the alleged corruption in land acquisition was completed after investigators examined a number of witnesses, such as Anies Baswedan and Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Prasetyo Edi Marsudi.

Furthermore, Ali said that Yoory's detention would be under the authority of the KPK prosecutor. He will be detained again for the next 20 days until October 12 at the KPK detention center Pomdam Jaya Guntur.

Meanwhile, the KPK prosecutor has 14 working days to prepare the indictment that will be read out in court.

"The trial is scheduled for the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court," said Ali.

In this case, the KPK has named four suspects, namely the Director and Deputy Director of PT Adonara Propertindo namely Tommy Adrian and Anja Runtuwene, former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya Yoory Corneles, and Director of PT Aldira Berkah Abadi Makmur (ABAM) Rudy Hartono Iskandar.

In addition, the KPK has also named PT Adonara Propertindo as a suspect in corporate corruption.

This allegation of corruption occurred when Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, which is a BUMD in the property sector, was looking for land in the Jakarta area to be used as a business unit or land bank. Furthermore, this regionally owned company cooperates with PT Adonara Propertindo which is also engaged in the same field.
